Manitoulin & Traction’s 17th Annual Charity Golf Classic Raises Over $150,000

Gore Bay, ON – On June 23 and 24, 2025, Manitoulin Transport and Traction UAP brought together the transportation industry for the 17th annual charity golf classic. This fundraising event was held in Muskoka at the Rocky Crest Golf Resort and Lake Joseph Golf Club.

To date, this tournament has raised more than $2,000,000. Its continued success is a testament to the generosity of its donors and sponsors.

Funds were raised for the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity and the OTA Education Foundation/ The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity plays a vital role in improving the lives of seriously ill children and their families. The OTA Education Foundation supports higher education to Ontario students with ties to the trucking industry.

The charity golf classic was a memorable event filled with excitement and generosity. Highlights of the day included a live auction, a silent auction, and a grand prize winner of two tickets to any destination Air Canada flies. Golfers also enjoyed the “Beat the Pro” competition adding a fun and competitive twist to the game with NHL celebrities Brad May and Curtis Joseph.

Each year the golf tournament reaches full capacity, underscoring the industry’s dedication to philanthropy and community support.
