Manitoulin’s 18th Annual Charity Golf Classic Raises $150,000 to Support Community
Gore Bay, ON – The Manitoulin Group of Companies successfully hosted its 18th annual Charity Golf Classic on June 22 and 23, 2026 at Muskoka’s premier Rocky Crest Golf Resort and The Lake Joseph Club. This year brings the tournament’s historic 18-year fundraising total to an incredible $2,150,000.
This prestigious event brought together industry leaders and sponsors underscoring the trucking and logistics industry’s profound dedication to philanthropy.
All proceeds from the tournament directly benefit two vital organizations:
- The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity: Providing essential financial relief and improving the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families across Ontario.
- The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) Education Foundation: Supporting higher education by providing scholarships to Ontario students with academic ambitions and ties to the trucking industry.
Beyond its charitable mission, the tournament delivered an unforgettable experience for attendees with its “locker room chat” featuring NHL alumni greats Brad May, Billy Smith, and Butch Goring. The excitement carried over into the evening with auctions and a grand prize raffle draw for two Air Canada tickets to any destination worldwide.
Manitoulin Transport extends its deepest gratitude to the generous donors, sponsors, and participants who return year after year, ensuring this tournament remains a driving force for positive change.
